BaoFeng 9R+ radio station
Radio station BaoFeng 9R+ with 8W power is waterproof and dustproof, which makes it an excellent solution for communication in remote and hard-to-reach areas with high humidity. The model is two-band and allows programming of 128 channels in two frequency ranges. From 136 to 174 MHz and from 400 to 520 MHz.
One of the main advantages of this Baofeng mobile station is its transmitting power of 8 cotton wool. This allows coverage up to 10 km under ideal conditions – without obstacles and in clear weather. In bad weather conditions or rough terrain, the range decreases accordingly.
Power is provided by a capacity lithium-ion battery 2800 mAh. When operating at maximum power of 8 watts the device lasts up to 24 hours of continuous use. When choosing a lower power – 1 or 5 watts - battery life is increased.
Manual programming of the radio station
The UV-9R Plus offers manual programming via the keys, located under the display on the front of the housing. Through them you can set a desired frequency, and also to add additional subtones and codes. The device supports 50 CTCSS subtone and 104 DCS code, with the help of which your communication is separated from other users of the same frequency.
If you need to program several radio stations at the same time, the most convenient way is through a programming cable, which is purchased separately. With its help, you connect the device to a computer and download the necessary software from the official Baofeng website, to make the desired settings.
The station is particularly suitable for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, as well as for humans, skiers and snowboarders in mountain resorts during the winter season. The model is also preferred by dock workers, lifeguards on the beach and representatives of many other professions, requiring a reliable connection. The device is easy to use and especially useful in places with poor or no mobile coverage.
The UV-9R Plus has a wealth of functionality, characteristic of all Baofeng models – a built-in flashlight, alarm button, FM radio and a number of other practical features for field work. A hands-free headset is also included in the set, which makes communication more convenient, while your hands are busy with other tasks.
The model can be supplemented with a number of accessories, offered separately. An external speaker is such an example (tube), which allows the radio to remain tucked away in the backpack, while the user only uses the speaker for communication – a convenient solution, for example, when skiing.
