We present to you a real collector's find, 22-year Steyr M357. This compact pistol in caliber .357 The Sig is one of the most comfortable guns around, that I ever held, it has a fantastic trigger, better than most factory guns, produced in the last two decades.

Steyr wanted to get into polymer-framed handgun production in the late 1990s and teamed up with a designer, which was played by the Glock factory before. And they came out with this line of pistols, based originally around .40 S&W, but also with a chuck .357 Mr. is 9 mm. Because it was originally designed around the cartridge .40, it is manufactured with a fully supported day camera 1, in time, when .40 Glocks occasionally turned into hand grenades to their poorly maintained early chambers. It's kind of a shame, that this design really failed to take hold in the market, like Glock. This is a VERY GOOD gun. It's like a bit of a time capsule of somewhat avant-garde gun design from the turn of the century.

About the gun
The M Series pistol is of polymer frame construction, using Browning style recoil. Fired with a double-action only trigger (DAO). The modern looking frame style has an ergonomic grip angle of 111 degrees and low barrel axis, minimizing muzzle lift and felt recoil. The frame includes its own accessory rail in front of the trigger guard. Also unique to the gun are its unusual "trapezoidal" sights, similar in principle to the square "U" design of the Glock.

The gun has several fuses. The usual set of internal fuses, of course, but also a trigger guard, mechanical fuse, which you have to insert your finger into the trigger guard and click firmly, to disable (!), and keyed lockout, located near the takedown lever.

About caliber
The patron 357 The SIG was developed by SIGARMS in partnership with Federal Cartridge. The cartridge uses a case with bottlenecks .40 S&W, corrugated to 9 mm bullet. That's why 357 SIG is not listed as “.357”, as it is not a true caliber bullet .357, and it is (inflated nine) standard 9 mm bullet (.3550 inches). The design 357 SIG is an attempt to create a cartridge with stopping power, which approximates the larger revolver cartridge .357 Magnum, but in a smaller case, which can fit comfortably in the grip of a semi-automatic weapon. Despite the manufacturer's claims, he is not that powerful, as real as it gets .357 Magnum, but exceeds the power of a cartridge .40 S&W.
