The name of this Extema Ratio e Waki blade comes from the well-known Japanese Wakizashi swords (Wakizashi) – short traditional Japanese sword. Mainly used by samurai and worn on the belt.
The blade is sharpened on one side, slightly distorted. Wakizashi resembles a katana in shape. It is usually worn along with the "katana" in the samurai's belt. In old Japan, a sword with a blade length of more than two shaku (60,6 cm.) was considered a katana, and under 2 shaku – for uakidzashi.
The handle of the Italian short sword is made of forprene. The set includes a cordura can, which except, that it can carry the blade safely, can also be attached to tactical vests compatible with the MOLLE system.
