Digital monocular for night vision model NV019 of the Chinese company PARD is a high-quality optical device with a sensitive matrix and a built-in infrared filter. Thanks to this, you can observe as during the day, as well as at night. In daylight, the picture is colorful with the ability to focus from 3 cm to infinity, and in the dark hours you see in black and white with a visibility range of up to 400 meters. The device impresses with its compact dimensions, light weight and simplified operation menu. Thanks to its powerful zoom and wide-angle lens, the model is very suitable for observing animals and birds, large perimeter security, rescue operations and for hunting. With it, you will detect moving objects at a great distance and you will orient yourself perfectly in the dark. It is powered by a powerful rechargeable lithium-ion battery 18650 with an endurance capacity of 4 to 8 o'clock. The difference in operating hours comes from whether the infrared light is activated and at what power it is used.
A big advantage of the night vision monocular is the intended 6x optical magnification, which is complemented by 3x digital zoom. That's what it means, that the observed object can approach to approx 18 times, which helps the much more detailed and vigilant search of the targeted area. Optical zoom is done smoothly by turning the wheel by hand, located below the lens. Right next to it for convenience is the focus wheel, so you can immediately clear the picture. Additional digital zoom is released from a button with one or more presses, depending on how close you want to zoom. In addition, the manufacturer has invested in a high-quality wide-angle lens with a diameter of 26.5 mm, which gives a panoramic view of the picture. The viewing angle is 120 degrees, thanks to which you see a much larger area even when using solid magnification.
An important option is the ability to adjust the strength of the infrared backlight. In case, that you have to look in total darkness and you have to see a very distant object, then you activate the strongest third stage of the IR filter. If the situation is only at dusk and there is light around, then you can bet on the first or second degree and thus save the battery. Another very useful feature is the ability to take video with sound or photos of anything, what you see in front of the lens. Recordings are stored on a micro SD memory card with a size of up to 128 GB, which is purchased separately. The video is in MP4 format.
Additionally, Pard has provided an option to transmit a picture via Wi-Fi directly to a phone. To do this, you activate the NV019's Wi-Fi function and download a free mobile application to your smartphone, through which you then watch online. The feature is useful, because you can shoot directly from your phone. Observation is done through an eyepiece, but you are actually looking at a built-in screen inside the optical tube. Display resolution is 800x600 and battery level icons are displayed on it, the strength of the infrared backlight from the first to the third degree, magnification and whether the Wi-Fi function is enabled.
