The Forest II 12 model×50 of the Polish company Delta Optical is a pair of binoculars with classic parameters created for a wide range of users such as hunters and nature lovers. Its universal features allow observation both during the day, and at dusk. These binoculars are a compromise between getting high magnification and a wide field of view. At the same time, it provides high image brightness. Throughout Delta Optical's Forest II series, the optical system of binoculars consists of 8 element, positioned in 6 groups, and high-quality roof prisms are used in the construction, made of phase-corrected BAK-4 glass, whose reflective surfaces are coated with silver, which provides an extremely sharp and bright image. For reference – budget models of binoculars use a BAK-7 prism.
In addition, in the Forest II models, all active optical surfaces of the lenses are coated with high-quality multi-layers (Fully Multi-Coated) anti-reflective coatings. Thanks to them, the binoculars are characterized by high light transmission and neutral image colors. Well-darkened inner tubes prevent unwanted image reflections and 'sprites'.
All Forest II series binoculars have a smooth moving central focusing knob and individual diopter adjustment in the right eyepiece. Rubber, adjustable swivel glasses slide out, which allows comfortable adjustment of the eyes to the individual needs of the observer. Forest II series binoculars can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Their sealed housing allows use in wet conditions and even in rain. Forest II binoculars can withstand immersion in water for 5 minutes to depth 1 m, and filling the structure with nitrogen prevents fogging of the optics inside the housing. The body of the binoculars is made of aluminum with a rubber coating. Aluminum provides a high degree of strength, resistance to shocks and endurance of all tests during hunting. The binoculars are also resistant to large temperature differences, which guarantees reliability and a long service life.
The huge advantages of the new models are their compactness and low weight. All Forest II binoculars with lenses 50 mm have the same size 165x133x60 mm, and weight not greater than 870 city. So they are the perfect compromise between small 42mm binoculars and much larger and heavier models with 56-63 mm lenses. Thanks to the high flexibility of the 50mm lens, the new Forest II models are differentiated in terms of magnification, so that you can choose the value of this parameter, that suits your needs.
